ELON GETS TAX BREAKS, TEXAS PROFITS $42 MILLION, I GET AN ANNUAL $200 EV TAX, TESLA SERVICE CENTERS SUCK
Aren't you tired of elite billionaires getting tax breaks while you and I get taxed and hammered with inflation?
I will never agree with more taxes!
The US government has a big spending problem.
In Texas, our government has a making too much money problem.
I’m aware EVs have become a political conversation - please leave that at the door for this email because I’m not trying to force the New Green Deal on you or tell you EVs are going to save the planet. I’m a car guy, I love gas and electric cars, Tesla is one badass car!
The point of this email is to share an example of how Capitalism has been stolen from the American people and used for The Big Club you and I will never be in.
Texas Leadership sold the new EV tax as necessary to recoup money lost from the gas tax, but that’s just another BS narrative spin. Texas is the 8th largest economy in the world, one of the strongest economies with record breaking growth, and the EV tax is 100% unnecessary.
Here’s my new Texas Registration invoice
Note the $200 Electric Vehicle Fee. I own 2 Teslas, so I now pay $400 a year.
The US Department of Energy reports 210,433 EV registrations for Texas, resulting in:
$42,086,600 new annual revenue for Texas and it climbs daily.
When I logged into pay today, I found it comical that electric vehicles above 10,000 pounds are excluded from the EV tax. WTF? Heavier vehicles cause more damage to the road so this clause proves the EV tax is specifically for Citizens and not Corporations.
Companies that use the 27,000 pound Tesla Semi won’t be charged $200 annually, of course.
Tesla received $64 million in tax breaks for the Austin Gigafactory on top of a property value locked in at 10% of its actual value.
I understand tax breaks are necessary to attract businesses, and I also understand how those tax breaks are passed on to citizens who don’t deserve it.
The Texas Tesla Gigafactory’s property value is locked in at $80 million as opposed to its $1.1 billion valuation.
In 2020, Tesla promised new jobs in Texas for tax breaks.
In 2024, Tesla lays off 2,700 employees in Texas.
Tesla Service doesn’t even wash your car!
I love my Tesla! I haven’t gotten in a hot car in over 3 years - that alone is worth every penny in Texas. My interior temperature is set to never go above 95 degrees and I crank it down to 69 degrees from my phone before I get in.
Tesla Service Centers are the worst experience in the automotive industry.
This is how my car was delivered to me in January 2024 after a visit for warranty work.
This is the dirtiest my car has ever been!
How does Tesla make robots but they can’t build automated car washes at their service centers?!?
I bought my Model S Plaid in 2022, it was a REALLY BIG PURCHASE for me. I never imagined I’d spend $150k on a car, and America’s economy was booming in 2022 so it was an easy decision with a nice low interest rate.
I also never imagined the manufacture would reduce the MSRP 30% within 1 year! Elon gets too much praise for screwing over his customers.
Thanks for listening lol

Elon was my real life hero and now he’s screwed me over so many times it’s not even funny.
Check out this video from October 27, 2023 when I was begging Elon for my X account back just days after launching my independent journalism on his platform.
I’ve forced myself to learn a lot and be comfortable with being uncomfortable. This was my 2nd video published to YouTube and I converted it to an Instagram/LinkedIn format to promote my journalism.
I’m proud of my resilience and the impact I’m making on humanity, I’ll add my ChatGPT summary as an additional receipt.
This $200 tax is also being applied to EV owners in Florida. Hybrid owners will be taxed $50. The tax is intended to offset the loss that would have been paid on gas tax that everyone else pays that goes towards road and highway maintenance. I don’t have a problem with that. A friend who has a Tesla and has to drive 85 miles to see her elderly mother has to go to a charging station a mile away to charge her car up in order to make it back home. I have no desire to own one.
